Dancer Information
Welcome “The Wizard of Oz” Dancers !!
Performance dates for the play “The Wizard of Oz” will be February 22-25, 2018.  Rehearsals will be held on Monday and Tuesdays after school until 5 pm, In the PAC auditorium.   You can expect rehearsals to increase to  include Thursdays as we get closer to performance dates.  Before committing yourself to be a part of the dance team, PLEASE make certain you do not have existing commitments. i.e. sports, band, dance lessons, church, etc.  It is mandatory to attend rehearsals unless you are ill. You will need to make arrangements to be picked up at the high school by 5:15 pm.
The following is expected from the dancers:
  1. Appropriate Dance clothing;  (girls) Calf or full length leggings/tights. Nylon shorts if they are worn over tights.  Tank tops worn over a sports bra or racer-back bra.  (boys) Athletic clothes.
  2. Jazz dance shoes.  If you don’t have jazz shoes, wear ballet or a canvas tennis shoes. You will not be allowed to dance in socks or bare feet.
  3. Long hair tied up in a bun or pony tail.
  4. No cell phone use during rehearsals.
  5. Some dancers will be more experienced than others.  The expectation of each dancer is to be respectful, understanding, and helpful as everyone is learning routines.
  6. Be on time for rehearsals !  If you must be absent, text Miss Danielle @ 918-791-4854 AND Mr. Haynes @ 918-541-0096.  You will be notified of rehearsal times by group text.
  7. Most of all HAVE FUN.  What a great opportunity for all of us to participate in the production of “The Wizard of Oz” in our new Performing Arts Center.
